Who Are WE

At Maranatha Tabernacle, we are a multicultural church and our doors are wide open to people from all backgrounds, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey. Our goal is to create a community of believers who receive life from God’s love by engaging, powerful services that offer biblical truth in relevant, practical ways. We are affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church International.

So, if you are still just checking out the “church scene” or, if you are looking for a community to call home and to sink the roots of your faith even deeper, you can find it here at Maranatha.

What we believe

We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living. (See II Timothy 3:15-17.)

We believe there is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man. (See Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16.)

We believe everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (See Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9.)

We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. Through baptism we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:3-6;Colossians 2:11-14Acts 2:38)

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues. (Acts 2:4 37-39; Romans 6:3-4.)

We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He ministers to His people through tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy, words of knowledge and wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, working of miracles, healing, helps and government. (Mark 16:15-18 Acts 5:162 Corinthians 12:1-11)

We believe as Christians we are to love God and others.

We believe Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away His church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous eternal death. (See I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15.)
